The Apprenticeship

Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Trailer Technology (AUR 31820)

Statewide Apprenticeships are seeking an apprentice Trailer Mechanic to join our team working in Murray Bridge 

Working a minimum of 38 hours per week for a full-time apprenticeship will be paid as per the relevant award unless otherwise advised.

Duties may include 

• Work on trailers, B- double and other multi-combination trailers, single axle trailers to multi-axle trailers 
• Service and repair brakes, suspension, final drive (hubs and differentials), pneumatic systems and hydraulic systems
• Dynamic control systems (ABS, ESP and Rollover)
• Wiring harnesses
• Wiring new lights for trailers
• To develop the skills to perform mechanical work in the automotive, heavy vehicle service and repair sector

About you 

• Have a genuine passion for mechanics
• Be committed to undertaking a 48-month apprenticeship
• Possess a driver’s licence
• Hold a White Card
• Be willing to work a reasonable amount of overtime
• Be physically fit
• Completed VET course within the industry would be highly regarded
