Statewide Apprenticeships is an independent, community-based, not-for-profit organisation that has been servicing the employment and training needs of South Australian apprentices and trainees, businesses, and industry for over 30 years. 

 

The Apprenticeship
Certificate III in Painting & Decorating (CPC30620).

Statewide Apprenticeships is seeking an Apprentice Painter living in the Port Pirie region to join our team and work throughout the Yorke Peninsula, Mid-North, and Southern Flinders regions.

 

This position is a full-time apprenticeship commencing in January 2025, working a minimum
of 38 hours per week. It will be paid as per the relevant award unless otherwise advised.

School leavers are encouraged to apply.

 

Duties may include

  • General house painting as well as some commercial work.
  • Sometimes working at heights with scaffolding and ladders.

 

About you

  • Be committed to undertaking a 48-month apprenticeship.
  • Able to pass drug & alcohol screening.
  • Possess a driver’s license and reliable transport (P’s acceptable).
  • Have a current DHS Working With Children Check and SA Police Check (or are willing to get one before commencement).
  • Current White Card or willing to get one at your cost before commencement.
  • Be physically fit.
  • Able to work at heights.
  • Must be willing to work away during the week when required, with transport, accommodation and meals provided.
  • Excellent work ethic and ability to manage time to meet deadlines.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a small team.
