The Apprenticeship
Certificate 3 in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (AUR 30616)

Statewide Apprenticeships is looking for apprentice light vehicle mechanics to join the team. These full-time positions require a minimum of 38 hours per week, with payment as per the relevant award unless informed otherwise.

Job Duties

• Performing routine maintenance on various vehicles, such as oil changes, battery checks, lubricating components, and replacing worn parts.
• Following an inspection checklist to examine brake systems, steering mechanisms, transmissions, engines, and other vehicle parts.

About you

• Suitable for school leavers.
• Must be physically fit and reliable.
• Able to pass a drug and alcohol screening and willing to obtain a police check.
• Should have a current driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Passionate about repairing and servicing motor vehicles.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Willing to commit to an approximately 4-year apprenticeship.
