During our recent visit, we had the pleasure of meeting Sophie, a remarkable School-Based trainee completing the Local Government Industry award and is currently based at the prestigious District Council of Yankalilla. Sophie’s exceptional commitment and skill were evident as she effortlessly handled tasks such as organizing files with great efficiency and creating engaging content for social media, just to name a few.
Yankalilla District, located just an hour’s drive south of Adelaide’s CBD, is characterized by its picturesque landscape, which spans 750 square km of dairy farms, grazing lands, pine forests, conservation parks, and bushland. The area’s diverse topography includes rolling hills and valleys and a stunning 90-kilometre coastline featuring rugged cliffs and 30 kilometres of pristine, white sandy beaches that draw visitors year-round.
