Statewide Apprenticeships is a trusted not-for-profit organisation supporting apprentices, trainees, and South Australian businesses for over 30 years. We are currently seeking a motivated Sheetmetal Fabricator Apprentice to join our team in Adelaide.

This is a full-time apprenticeship offering hands-on training, industry experience, and the opportunity to gain a nationally recognised qualification.

 

About the apprenticeship

  • Full-time position, minimum 38 hours per week
  • Paid according to the relevant award
  • Certificate III in Engineering Fabrication Trade MEM31922
  • Work across commercial and industrial sites in Adelaide

 

Key responsibilities

  • Perform engineering measurements and interpret technical drawings
  • Carry out mechanical cutting and fabrication tasks
  • Assist with fabrication, repair, and modification of sheet metal products
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised fabrication equipment
  • Learn to operate machinery used in sheet metal and ductwork fabrication
  • Assist with cutting, folding, assembling, and installing duct systems
  • Maintain safe work practices and a clean work environment

 

About you

  • Strong interest in engineering, fabrication, or sheet metal trades
  • Committed to completing a 4-year apprenticeship
  • Physically fit and reliable
  • Able to pass a drug and alcohol test
  • Current driver’s licence and reliable transport required
