Madeleine Smart has been working at ANZ for over a year now as a part of her ATIS School Based Traineeship with Statewide Group Training (SA) Inc. Madi advised that by being in the workforce she has been given the opportunity to work with adults and learn how to communicate with older people from a young age. Her Field Officer (Tracy Northcott) has been extremely helpful and supportive throughout her traineeship by giving her ongoing support, having regular meetings to discuss how everything is going and to make sure she is keeping balance of school and work.

Angela Peacock, Branch Manager from ANZ stated there have been so many benefits to the programme. Madi has matured and gained confidence in discussions with customers and staff of all ages.  She is always well mannered and very punctual. Her knowledge of the financial industry continues to grow which will not only help her if she continues in this field but also assist her with life skills around budgeting, managing money and accounts, how to save and borrow money. Her friendly manner is noted by staff and customers as is her willingness to complete tasks asked of her. She has completed Tafe modules well ahead of time.
