We recently dropped into Adelaide Safety Training to catch up with one of our electrical apprentices, Olivia, during a practical session of her Working at Heights training. Alongside her classmates and under the guidance of experienced trainer Luke, Olivia was putting theory into action—learning how to stay safe while working in elevated environments.
This type of hands-on learning is a vital part of the Certificate III in Electrotechnology, ensuring apprentices like Olivia are equipped with the practical skills and safety knowledge required on real job sites. From harness use to hazard awareness and fall prevention techniques, the session provided a strong foundation in one of the key safety components of the electrical trade.
It’s always inspiring to see our apprentices stepping into real-world training environments. Experiences like this build not just skills, but also confidence—empowering our apprentices to take on new challenges and grow into capable, safety-conscious tradies.
At Statewide Apprenticeships, we’re proud to support Olivia and all our apprentices on their journey through vocational education and training. Every hands-on experience on-site plays a vital role in their development and long-term success.
