Statewide Apprenticeships is a not-for-profit, community-based organisation that has supported apprentices, trainees, businesses, and industry across South Australia for over 30 years.
We are passionate about creating career pathways and are currently seeking motivated individuals to start their career in Civil Construction.
The Apprenticeship
This is a full-time apprenticeship (minimum 38 hours per week), where you will complete a Certificate III in Civil Construction Plant Operations (RII30820). You’ll gain hands-on experience while earning a wage in line with the relevant award.
What You’ll Be Doing
Operating plant equipment such as backhoes, loaders, rollers, and excavators
Reading and interpreting plans and specifications
Carrying out measurements, calculations, and manual excavations
Identifying underground services and working safely on site
General construction labour, spreading, compacting, and safe material disposal
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
Genuinely interested in a career in Civil Construction
Committed to completing a 36-month apprenticeship
Physically fit and safety-conscious
Willing to work reasonable overtime and undergo drug & alcohol testing
Holding (or working towards) a driver’s licence and white card
Tickets such as Roller or Skid Steer are highly regarded but not essential
