The Traineeship

Certificate 3 (or 4 for the right person) in Horticulture

Statewide Group Training are seeking a trainee to join our team working throughout the City of Victor Harbor Council area with the Open Space Team.

The position is a full-time traineeship, working a minimum of 38 hours per week and will be paid as per the relevant award unless otherwise advised.

Duties may include –

• Tree care and pruning
• Tree planting
• Operation and care of tree pruning equipment
• Operation of woodchipper
• Garden bed planting and maintenance
• Garden and Environmental Weed control techniques
• Operation and maintenance of weed spray equipment
• WHS with all operations
• Lawn care and maintenance
• Operating mowers-whipper -snippers

About you –

• Have a genuine passion for Horticulture
• Be committed to undertaking a 36-month traineeship
• Be willing to work a reasonable amount of overtime
• Be physically fit
• Be willing to obtain a traffic management course before or during at your own expense
